ConnectiCare wanted a friendly space where locals could stop in for health insurance help, fitness classes, and expert-led seminars.
To create a sense of community, activities were added to walls in the kids space and waiting area.
After completing the community center, an event calendar and brochure were designed to reflect the welcoming look of the space.
The ConnectiCare Center
Environmental Design + Retail Design + Signage + Print Collateral
Founded by a group of doctors in 1981, ConnectiCare is now Connecticut’s largest health plan by membership. They wanted a physical presence in the community and envisioned a storefront where people could stop in for personalized help with benefits, fitness classes, and expert-led seminars on topics like living with diabetes.
As the first manifestation of their new brand identity, it was important for the space to reflect the brand’s essence and mission. Fame sprang into action, nailing down zones and traffic flow, furnishings, and finishes. Final touches were then added with wayfinding signage, wall and glass graphics, and collateral.
The first center opened in fall 2016 with rave reviews from ConnectiCare members seeking a more personalized experience.
